It seems like the Belo Mansion is my home away from home. In the past six weeks, I’ve been there no less than five times, both as a photographer and as a wedding guest, and my sample albums are filled with images from various weddings I’ve been blessed to shoot there. It is without a doubt one of the most popular and beautiful venues in Dallas, and how fitting that I should photograph one of my most beautiful brides there! Andrea is one of those classic beauties, a girl whose stunning face would be revered in virtually any period in history. Whether she’s smiling, laughing, or being serious, you just can’t take your eyes off of her. I also completely fell in love with her dress, which was as regal and elegant as she is! Here are some of my favorites from her bridal session at Belo Mansion!

Lindsey is the type of bride I live for: head over heels in love, overjoyed to be getting married, practically glowing with excitement and happiness, and wanting everyone around her to be as blissfully happy as she is. You just can’t be around Lindsey without feeling that infectious joy yourself, which makes photographing her a super fun experience. Not to mention that she is a stunner! I just love her gorgeous bone structure, her face is so unique and defined and every time I look at her I think she belongs in a high fashion magazine is some brilliant piece of haute couture. Here are some of my favorites from her bridal session at George Bush Library in College Station:

- I like the website, and I'm really inspired by your photography
- I attended your last workshop and LOVE EVERY SECOND of it! I learned so much! I did increased my price and haven't feel guilty ever since. Not working for free is the best thing ever! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with all of us! Great workshop and I recommend newbies to take this workshop. Worth every penny!
Considering my beloved alma mater Texas A&M had an epic victory in college football this past weekend, what better way to start the week than with an Aggie-influenced bridal session (from a client who also had a very Aggie engagement session as well!). Marcy is definitely one of my favorite women to photograph. She has this amazing bone structure that I think reflects light so well, and she just has this elegant, regal quality about her. I think that same grace was reflect in her demure dress (I just adore off the shoulder gowns!), understated jewelry choice, and her beautiful updo. Everything about Marcy just radiates classiness and beauty, and I know that her husband Kyle is completely aware what a gem he has! Here are some of my favorites from her session at the Cotton Mill in McKinney.

- LOVE these, especially the third down (with the veil) - great work!
- Stacey, you find the most amazing light. Beautiful, stunning shots. Marcy must be thrilled.
- Love them! Gig'em Aggies!
- Stacy, the BW photo of the bride among the leaves is so money!!!
- Truly amazing work! Long-time fan of your photography ... just wanted to pass along the compliment!
- My older sister was CO of her unit in the Corps and she wore her own senior boots at her wedding. Instead of a garter toss, her husband (a BQ) pulled her boots at the reception. :)
There’s just something about Kelly. Her engagements, bridals, and her wedding have all been some of my favorite shoots of all time. It is her unique sense of style and her Martha-Stewart-esque craftiness? Is it her uncanny ability to pick the best locations, the best props, the best outfits, and of course the best husband? Or is it just the fact that she’s incredibly beautiful and makes my job way easy? The world may never know. I’ll be sharing heaps of photos of Kelly over the next few months, but today we’ll get started with her bridal session at the NYLO Hotel in Plano – hands down my favorite hotel in the Dallas area. They have the best decor, the best food, the best service, the best rooms (and cheap, too!), and they’re really friendly and accommodating to photographers, which is a refreshing change of pace. It’s the place I’m holding my workshop, and it’s the only place I recommend to people staying in the North Dallas area. I can’t really recommend them enough!
Back to Kelly – she decided on the NYLO based solely on my recommendation, and I think my description of its “funky urban loft vibe” worried her Texas-country-girl sensibilities. It turned out to be a perfect match, because the bright orange and brown decor matched her wedding colors (orange and brown) perfectly! Here are some of my favorite shots from her session:

- Awe, thanks for all the kind words! You did such an amazing job on all of my photos...the only problem I'm having it picking which ones I like the best...they are all so great!! It was a pleasure working with you!!!!
- I love it! You look absolutely BEAUTIFUL..
- Baby, you look absolutely gorgeous. I had several co-workers come by my desk to look at your bridal portraits, since I had never seen them, and after we had seen about 2 or 3 of the pictures, I told one of the guys that I needed to sit down, because I was getting weak in the knees. He replied to me and said, "Uhm, Tan, you are sitting down. Are you okay?" It was then that I realized that you can sweep me off of my feet, even when I am not standing on them. I don't know what I did or didn't do, that God would allow someone like me, to be with someone like you, but I thank Him, each and every day for having you in my life and being able to love you. You are my dream come true, and words cannot describe how much I love you. Many years ago, my dad gave my mom a plaque, and on it was this little enscription that said, " I do not love you, because I need you; I need you, because I love you." I never gave it much thought, but after you came into my life, I now know exactly what it means. You are my world, and I cannot wait to become a family.... I love you!!!! me
- Love, love, love the pictures! Great job Stacy and Kelly wow you look amazing, so glad I got to be there that day! Love ya Kelly, and Tan...you are so sweet! Melissa

- Amazing work as always! Your attention to detail is brilliant (and having such a gorgeous bride never hurts either)!!
- I've been to the NYLO and you rocked this shoot!
- Classic shot in the window, love it
Beautiful bride, beautiful dress, beautiful location.. I really get far too much credit for taking pretty photos – with a bride like Jessica in a place like this, taking stunning bridal portraits is child’s play. I’m especially in love with Jessica’s two piece Winnie Couture wedding gown, as well as those FABULOUS blue suede shoes! Shooting at Villa Antonia in Austin is always a pleasure – everywhere you turn is a new and even more lovely spot, and the incredible views of Lake Travis are the perfect backdrop for a wedding or portrait session. Here are some of my faves from her session:

Even the largest snowfall in Texas’ history isn’t enough to keep me away from a beautiful bride. Thank goodness for heaters!

- Lovely shots. I really like the 2nd shot in the window and the last picture. Great work
- I love looking at your bridal sessions. I wish these types of sessions were more popular around here. :(
I looooooove shooting redheads! There’s something about that particular color of hair that just gives a girl confidence and personality and pizzazz. Even the faux-redheads have a spark in their eyes and a bounce in their step. I knew the second I laid eyes on Marandah and her gorgeous locks (and those lovely blue eyes) that I would have way too much fun photographing her, and naturally, she proved me right. We shot her session at the historic Heard-Craig House in downtown McKinney. Here are a few of my favorites:

- That first shot is absolutely devine! Actually. I love all of these. What a beautiful bride!
- Lovely, Stacy! Gorgeous bride, and what fabulous shoes!
- Wow! Totally gorgeous - I'm particularly in love with the black and whites here, and the bride is SO pretty!
- Stacy! Love them! You are so sweet! They wouldn't look as great without such a fabulous photographer behind the camera! :)
- The first image, and the second last FTW! The first is so dreamy, and the second last is so relaxed and fun.
- These are wonderful. Especially the first image, very striking, you continue to impress me with your careful attention to detail and style in both your images and post-processing, excellent!
- Wow she is such a beautiful bride!! And I'm LOVING the shoes!!
- [...] Stacy Reeves hat eine Braut fotografiert und das erste Foto… das erste Foto… [...]
