I looooooove shooting redheads! There’s something about that particular color of hair that just gives a girl confidence and personality and pizzazz. Even the faux-redheads have a spark in their eyes and a bounce in their step. I knew the second I laid eyes on Marandah and her gorgeous locks (and those lovely blue eyes) that I would have way too much fun photographing her, and naturally, she proved me right. We shot her session at the historic Heard-Craig House in downtown McKinney. Here are a few of my favorites:

My sister is married!! And isn’t she gorgeous? What can I say, we’ve got some mighty fine genes.

Allison’s wedding was hands down one of the the most beautiful affairs I’ve ever seen.. The first time I met Allison I knew our design styles were a perfect match (she, her bridesmaid, and I all showed up to the consultation in matching ivory and khaki dresses), and she had an amazing team working on her wedding decor, so I was anxiously awaiting her wedding and it definitely did not disappoint! I’m still working on the wedding photos, but in the meantime, here are some of my favorites from her session at the Dallas Arboretum!

- Absolutely Phenomenal!
- Gorgeous! And I WANT those shoes. :)
- These are beautiful, Stacy! I am absolutely smitten with Allison's dress!
- Thank you Stacy for the beautiful photos of my daughter! I'm certain the wedding photos will be amazing too! You're the best! She loved Dorothy's red shoes from The Wizard of OZ....hence the red shoes for her wedding day!

- Love the shoes, love the dress, love the photos!
- The color pallet you use for post production rocks. I don't even know if I could describe it... it's desaturated but vibrant?!?!?
- That shot where you can only see one of her eyes....YES!!!!!!
Courtney Paul just became Courtney Cleveland, so I’m pumped to show off these beautiful bridals of hers!!

- Love looking at your work, Stacy. So beautiful!
- I was looking through your website after looking at a session you did for a co-worker, Garrett, from Jamie and Garrett's engagement photos. Love you work! I was reading the FAQ section and realized our line of thinking is very similar! I often look through magazines and online for ideas, especially before a shoot. I shoot with a Canon 7D. But I have not experimented yet with an off camera flash. The trouble I have is that I have great ideas before a session and I'm thinking of all the poses I want to do and arrangements, possible backgrounds, ect. But then when I actually get to the session my mind goes blank!! It's the scariest feeling! I'm like "where did all of those great ideas go, I need them to come back!!". I have managed to get through them and come up with a few good poses, but recently I've left the session feeling very uneasy and just hoping I got enough to not ruin a reputation I'm just trying to build. I hope that feeling gets better and goes away with experience to where I feel very confident everytime. anyway- just wanted to say a few words and that I love your work!
Sommer is my complete kindred spirit, aesthetically speaking. Her style is so romantic, feminine, classic, with just a touch of vintage. Her wedding, which I just shot this past weekend at Butler’s Courtyard near Houston, had some of the most beautiful florals and general decor I’ve ever seen. I wanted to steal all of her centerpieces and bouquets and take them home! Sommer herself is such a classic beauty, it’s pretty much impossible to take a bad photo of her, so this bridal session was easy as pie. Here are a few of my favorites:

- LOVE these, especially that first one.. GORGEOUS!!
- I love these! Beautiful as always.
- wow.love.
- Stacy, These are so beautiful of Sommer! I can't wait to see the wedding photos. You do such a wonderful job but I agree you did have some beautiful subjects to work with. I also loved the engagement pictures you took of Cody and Sommer, what a beautiful place you picked out to shoot in. I hope you publish all your favorite wedding photos so everyone can enjoy them also. Thanks for the compliment on the florals and decorations. Sincerely, Jeri Key (Mother of the Groom)
- I am *so* in love with the shots with the mirrors. Wowwww!!
- Stacy, you are amazing! I am so thankful that you are my photographer, you make me look good! Thank you for all your hard work and can't wait to see more! Much love!!
- You and Cody are the perfect couple---Im so happy for both of you. May god bless this beautiful union and keep you healthy and happy forever. Ellen
- Love these shots!! GORGEOUS. Amazing lighting gives this bride a very soft and elegant glow.
- Stacy...these pictures of Sommer are awesome! Can't wait to see the wedding pics. I hope you will let me know when you have them ready.
In true Deziree fashion, we shot her bridal session at two fabulous locations. We started off at Iron Bed at the Shops at Legacy, which is quite possibly the most beautiful home decorating store of all time. They specialize in iron bedframes, but they also offer high end bedding, home decor, and bath accessories. Jason knows that he can never take me near The Iron Bed because I MUST go in, I MUST lay on one of the amazing beds, I MUST try out some of their perfumes, body sprays, and lotions, and I MUST buy a ridiculously cute throw pillow. I simply must. The second location was the NYLO hotel, which I have been dying to shoot at for months now. The NYLO has the most unique decor of any hotel I have ever been to, with a really trendy, modern, loft-y vibe. I could have shot Deziree at these locations for days! Here are a few highlights:

- These are beautiful!
- Simply stunning! I especially love the photo where she's throwing open the orange curtain. Really though, every photo is epic! :)
- Love these! And now, I have to go check out the Iron Bed. :)
- Gorgeous! Not only the portraits, but her hair/makeup/veil as well. Especially the veil. I think it's time for me to sign up to accompany you on a shoot, I'm really curious about how you lit all of these!
- success!!
- Beautiful! Happy New Year, Stacy. I'm adding your blog to my reader... I have NO idea why it wasn't on there already. You've been very inspirational and SO helpful in starting my business the RIGHT way. Thank you very much! I'm also adding you on flickr and Facebook... lest you think I'm stalking you, I promise I'm not. :)
- These are absolutely stunning. Probably the best photography I've seen anywhere. -Pierre

- gorgeous! I really can't pick a fav
- SO gorgeous. REALLY beautiful. GREAT job!
- I love these photos! Did Iron Bed let you come before they opened? This is great marketing for them:)
- How beautiful! Did you have to pay location fees to shoot at either place? As a photographer I'm finding more and more locations are capitalizing on our work. I have to say though, with the images you got from the NYLO, I'd pay that fee ;)
I have had the pleasure of knowing Lisa for many years now, but somehow I don’t think I had ever had the chance to see her all dolled up.. That is, until her bridal session. Since Lisa and I were involved in a camp organization together as counselors, we were used to seeing each other in typical college and nature wear – shorts, jeans, t-shirts, flip flips, etc. When she walked up in her dress (which perfectly shows off her envy-inspiring silhouette) and her three – yes, THREE – veils, I was floored. What a stunner! I can only imagine what was going through Grant’s mind when he saw her for the first time, but I can imagine that he was thinking about what a lucky man he was to have such a stunning bride. Here are some of my favorite images from her session at the Dallas Arboretum:

- Stacy, these are BEAUTIFUL! I am in love with the bw one with the veil blowing in the breeze and the one where she is standing underneath the wooden archway crossing her arms(?) So delicate and beautiful!

- So pretty! I LOVE the first one!
- Wow! Gorgeous! I love the one where she's vamping it up!
Nessa K - That first shot is absolutely devine! Actually. I love all of these. What a beautiful bride!
Abbie - Lovely, Stacy! Gorgeous bride, and what fabulous shoes!
Erica - Wow! Totally gorgeous - I'm particularly in love with the black and whites here, and the bride is SO pretty!
Marandah - Stacy! Love them! You are so sweet! They wouldn't look as great without such a fabulous photographer behind the camera! :)
Xanthe Roxburgh - The first image, and the second last FTW! The first is so dreamy, and the second last is so relaxed and fun.
